Ireland's weather...is just right!
Ireland’s weather is a bit like the Goldilocks and the Three Bears story…it’s not too hot and it’s not too cold, in fact you’ll find it just right! Okay, admittedly, it does rain a bit, but Ireland actually enjoys a mild climate with average temperatures of around 50°F. Perfect for getting out and about!
The Seasons
Spring months are from February to April, with average temperatures ranging between 46 to 54°F. It is a beautiful time of year in Ireland with leaves appearing on the trees, flowers blooming and plentiful green pastures.
Summer months are from May to July, with average temperatures ranging between 64 and 68°F. It is an idyllic time of year, with warm days and up to 17-hours of daylight in July. The months of July and August are peak holiday season in Ireland, so book your Bed and Breakfast accommodation in good time to ensure you get the location and choice you desire.
Autumn months are from August to October, with average temperatures ranging between 64 and 57°F. Autumn seems to amplify Ireland’s natural beauty and stunning landscapes. The weather is warm and it’s a beautiful season to get out and enjoy outdoor leisure activities.
Winter months are from November to January, with average temperatures of about 46°F. January and February are the coldest months and tend to get the most rainfall. The temperature can occasionally drop below freezing in these months, but so as long as you wrap up, pack a waterproof raincoat and boots, Ireland is a holiday destination all year round.
